Accident Compensation Commission (ACC)
The Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) is a New Zealand government organization that provides coverage for individuals who have suffered an accidental injury in New Zealand.
ACC coverage may help pay for healthcare services related to the injury, including medical treatment, therapy, home help, and financial assistance.
ACC covers a wide range of physical injuries, including sprains, fractures, cuts, and bruises, as well as work-related gradual process injuries like tendonitis. However, it does not cover general illnesses, non-work-related gradual process injuries, diseases, infections, age-related conditions, or mental injuries (with some exceptions).
If you are unsure whether your injury is covered by ACC, you can consult with a healthcare professional at the clinic.
Please note that ACC does not cover the full cost of treatment, and there may be a surcharge required to cover this shortfall.
